The Hospitality Education Program (School to Career) provides important workforce-related training and transition programs through Florida’s public school system to students.
Carol Dover President /CEO of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association met with members of the Governor’s Budget Office to discuss HEP funding. She encouraged them to retain funding. All indications thus far show that the appropriation is in the base budget, which is a major hurdle for funding. We remain encouraged.
