The Online Travel Bill (HB 1393 Rep. Jason Brodeur/SB 1888 Sen. Andy Gardiner) was temporarily passed in the House Finance and Tax Committee on Thursday, January 26, 2012. Rep. Brodeur indicated to the committee that he would have to amend his bill and would like to come back the following week.
HB 1393 has been reference for three house committee stops. This will necessarily put time restraints on the sponsor as session nears the midway point.
The Senate Bill has two references but has not moved.
We may need interested parties to come up to Tallahassee to testify if these bills begin to move.
A special thanks to Tom Williamson, who drove half-way across the state on very short notice to stand with FRLA on this issue.
